Bain Public Will Lead a Product Workshop in Collaboration with Zu


(Montreal, Canada) - Abigail Ramirez Villarroel, Product Analyst at Bain Public, and Sirena Chan, UX/UI Designer at Bain Public, will be leading a joint workshop with Renaud G. Gendron, an associate from Norton Rose Fulbright for two of Zu’s international 2021 cohorts. Yes, you read that right, the international cohorts include startup founders from all over Canada, the United states, and Europe!

Abigail and Sirena’s unique experience brings together the necessity of great engineering and the beauty of product strategy. Under the mentorship of Paul Ortchanian, Founder, CEO, Head of Product, Data and Strategy of Bain Public, Abigail and Sirena have attained the necessary experience and skills for coaching product startups.

About Zu and Infusion Workshops
Zu is a digital products and services firm that designs strategies to drive innovation within organizations. They work with clients committed to building modern solutions for mature industry problems. The aim of the program is to provide the necessary resources to the startups as they prepare for their first round of private funding. About the Workshop
During this workshop, Abigail and Sirena will provide the product-centric resources that startups need as they prepare for their first round of private funding. They will uncover the best practices of intellectual property and product development strategies, spanning every stage of a product's life, from inception to commercialization. They will deep dive into the essential strategies that startups must think about when building their business model alongside Renaud G. Gendron, an associate from Norton Rose Fulbright, who will further discuss the legal aspects of Intellectual property.

At Bain Public, we understand the importance of being able to visualize a product’s ecosystem to align product strategies. This ensures long term growth and success of any company and their products. This workshop will address several topics that early-stage entrepreneurs should consider when developing a product and/or idea to best protect their intellectual property:

About Abigail Ramirez Villarroel
Abigail Ramirez Villarroel serves as a Product Analyst at Bain Public. Her expertise lies in her strong research skills and efficient problem solving. She has worked with each client at Bain Public, like Metro Media, Watch Moji, and Blaise Transit to name a few, which gives her diverse experience with different types of startups. She is a certified associate in Project Management (CAPM) and is currently finishing her Bachelor of Commerce in Management Information Systems and Finance at McGill University. Abigail views product management through a business and research lens. Her philosophy favours innovation and social responsibility. Abigail believes roadmapping success can only be evaluated by the impact that the product has.

About Sirena Chan
Sirena Chan is one of our UX/UI Designers at Bain Public. Her expertise lies in analysis and design. A quick learner and efficiently resourceful -- Sirena encompasses everything a UX/UI Designer should be! She has worked extensively with our client WatchMojo to bring their quarterly initiatives to life! She holds a bachelor's degree in Global Business and Digital Arts from University of Waterloo. Sirena has a unique view of product management through a designer lens! Her philosophy includes favouring the user in her design. She believes roadmapping success can be elevated only after people start using the product.

About Paul Ortchanian
Paul Ortchanian is a pro at injecting strategies and tactics to monetize his client's businesses. He held leadership roles at Bay Area startups and high-growth organizations like WatchMojo -- helping establish product functions, as well as large strategic consulting companies such as Edelman where he organized product-led initiatives across national/regional offices.
